Digital ID agreed to by USA Because “Inclusion”

The United States has just agreed to a proposal that 2/3 of the world get a digital ID.

In November 2022, the G20, a group of countries that includes the United States, met in Bali. One of the items that was agreed upon was to further digital ID’s across the globe.

Recently, the G20 met again and published a set of agreements titled “G20 policy recommendations for advancing financial inclusion and productivity gains through digital public infrastructure.

Within the now official policy recommendations is a “Digital Public Infrastructure” which “in general, includes digital ID, digital payments, and data exchange in the financial sector.”

According to the acknowledgments, the document was prepared by the World Bank. The document also references a 2018 document published by the World Bank that says an ID is required to participate in society, including getting healthcare.

A unique, legal identity is necessary to allow all individuals to participate fully in society and the economy. The ability to prove one’s identity underlies the ability to access basic services and entitlements from healthcare through to pensions and agriculture subsidies.
World Bank, G20 Digital Identity Onboarding

According to the G20 document “financial inclusion” is the reason for forcing a digital ID on the global population.

As someone who has spent more than a decade abroad, there are third-world countries where the bureaucracy of getting an ID is ridiculous. However, to say that someone who lives in a bamboo hut in the middle of nowhere is going to benefit from a digital ID is ludicrous.

In their recommendations, the word “inclusion” is mentioned 279 times. Personal privacy, liberty, and freedom are not mentioned at all.

The people who benefit from digital ID are governments that are now able to easily track all of your whereabouts based on date and time, monitor and control all of your financial transactions, and instantly place arbitrary limits on spending and travel by revoking or suspending a single ID at will.

Much like the no-fly lists, which are a “guilty until proven innocent” government list, a digital ID follows the same path.

If some third-world countries want to further embrace big government Marxism, then let them do so. But keep us the hell out of it.
